Thanks to the variations in the region’s landscape, Verona offers a whole range of typical local products: cheese and truffles from the Lessinia region, different types of cold meats and salami, wines from the many wine routes (Valpolicella, Soave, Bardolino and Custoza), extra virgin olive oil and the Vialone Nano rice variety from the Veronese Plain district. Apples, kiwis, strawberries, peaches, melons, wheat, corn, etc are also grown in the countryside around Verona.
